Terms of Service for VetDrugs

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VetDrugs ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and VetDrugs.

2. Eligibility and Professional Use

2.1 Professional Users Only

VetDrugs is intended for use by:

Licensed veterinarians
Veterinary technicians
Veterinary students
Other licensed veterinary professionals

2.2 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use this App.

2.3 Geographic Restrictions

The App is available worldwide but drug dosing information may be specific to certain jurisdictions. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

You must sign in using Google or Apple authentication
You must provide accurate and current information
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity under your account
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
You must not share your account credentials

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

Violate these Terms
Engage in fraudulent activity
Misuse the App
Fail to pay subscription fees

4. Subscription and Payment Terms

4.1 Free Trial

Trial Period: Variable trial period (typically 14-30 days as displayed in app)
Full Access: All features available during trial
No Charges: No payment required during trial period
Auto-Renewal: Trial automatically converts to paid subscription unless cancelled
Cancellation: Cancel anytime before trial ends to avoid charges

4.2 Subscription Plans

Monthly Subscription:

Billed monthly to your Apple or Google account
Price displayed in app (approximately $7.99 USD, varies by region)
Auto-renews every month unless cancelled

Annual Subscription:

Billed annually to your Apple or Google account
Discounted rate compared to monthly (approximately 20% savings)
Auto-renews every year unless cancelled

4.3 Payment Processing

Payments processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
Prices may vary by region and currency
Prices subject to change with 30 days notice
Taxes may apply based on your location

4.4 Auto-Renewal

IMPORTANT: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period
You will be charged 24 hours before the renewal date
Your account will be charged the then-current subscription price
To avoid charges, cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date

4.5 Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

iOS (Apple):

Go to Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions
Select VetDrugs
Tap "Cancel Subscription"

Android (Google Play):

Open Google Play Store
Go to Menu → Subscriptions
Select VetDrugs
Tap "Cancel Subscription"

Effect of Cancellation:

You retain access until the end of your current billing period
No refund for remaining days in current period
Your account data remains available (read-only)
You can resubscribe at any time

4.6 Refund Policy

Apple App Store:

Refunds managed by Apple
Request refunds through App Store within 14 days of purchase

Google Play Store:

Refunds managed by Google
Request refunds through Google Play within 48 hours of purchase

Our Policy:

We do not process refunds directly
All refunds handled by Apple or Google

4.7 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices
You will be notified 30 days before any price increase
New prices apply at your next renewal
You may cancel before renewal if you disagree with new pricing

5. License and Intellectual Property

5.1 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use VetDrugs for your professional veterinary practice.

You MAY:

Use the App for veterinary drug calculations
Create and save patient records (animals)
Export and print calculation results
Use the App on multiple devices with the same account

You MAY NOT:

Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the App
Share your account with others
Extract or copy the drug database
Use the App for commercial resale
Remove copyright or proprietary notices
Use the App for illegal purposes

5.2 Ownership

VetDrugs and all content, features, and functionality are owned by VetDrugs
Drug formulations, calculations, and database are proprietary
Trademarks, logos, and branding are protected
You retain ownership of your patient data

6. Medical Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

6.1 NOT MEDICAL ADVICE

VetDrugs is a reference calculator only and does NOT constitute medical advice.

The App:

❌ Does NOT replace professional veterinary judgment
❌ Is NOT intended for diagnosing or treating animals
❌ Does NOT guarantee accuracy of calculations
❌ Should NOT be the sole basis for treatment decisions

6.2 Verification Required

You MUST independently verify all calculations:

Always consult current drug references
Check prescribing information and package inserts
Verify calculations using alternative methods
Consider individual patient factors
Use clinical judgment

6.3 User Responsibility

By using this App, you acknowledge and agree that:

You are solely responsible for all treatment decisions
You will verify all drug calculations independently
You assume all risk for using the App
You will not rely solely on App calculations
You understand the App may contain errors

6.4 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

VetDrugs is provided "AS IS" without warranties
We make no warranties regarding accuracy or reliability
We are NOT liable for any patient harm or adverse events
We are NOT liable for calculation errors or data loss
We are NOT liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IF YOU ARE IN SUCH A JURISDICTION, THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

6.5 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VetDrugs from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another party
Your professional veterinary practice decisions

7. User Content and Data

7.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of patient data you enter
You grant us a license to store and process your data to provide the App
We will not sell or share your patient data

7.2 Data Backup

We make reasonable efforts to backup your data
We are NOT responsible for data loss
You should maintain independent backups
Export your data regularly

7.3 Data Deletion

You may delete your account and data at any time
Deleted data cannot be recovered

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for illegal purposes
Violate any laws or regulations
Infringe on intellectual property rights

Interfere with App functionality

Scrape or harvest data from the App

We may modify these Terms at any time
Material changes will be communicated via the App or email
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
If you disagree with changes, you must stop using the App and cancel your subscription

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate by deleting your account
You may cancel subscription following procedures in Section 4.5
Termination does not entitle you to a refund

11.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if:

You violate these Terms
You engage in fraudulent activity
Required by law or regulation
The App is discontinued

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your license to use the App ends immediately
We may delete your account and data
Certain provisions survive termination (liability limitations, indemnification)

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We disclaim all warranties, including:

Implied warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Accuracy or reliability
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Freedom from harmful components

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of California without regard to conflict of law provisions.

If any provision is found unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in effect.

14.3 No Waiver

Failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights to any successor or affiliate.

14.5 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control.
